ABOUT US
History
Owl on the Roof Theatre formed in 2020, brought together through the year-long residency scheme Made in Bristol at Bristol Old Vic. During this time we had the opportunity to work with a number of great devising practitioners as well as learn from the theatre's in house heritage team.
Since our departure from Bristol Old Vic, we've produced three shows; the Three Little Pigs - a pub pantomime, The Children of Lir - a mythic retelling of an old Irish tale and The Emperor's New Clothes - our pub panto, revamped for a South West tour.
Back in 2021 we partnered with Hypha Studios, a charity that matches creatives with empty space. We were given use of an old greengrocers in Broadwalk Shopping Centre, Knowle, where we host our open mic; A Night at the Greengrocers and held our first scratch night; Apples and Pears.
Owl on the Roof are a registered CIC.

In 2021 we partnered with Hypha Studios, who finds disused spaces for artists to work out of! We were given an unused Greengrocer in Knowle, Somerset.
