ABOUT US
History
Owl on the Roof Theatre, formed in 2020. We were brought together through the year-long residency scheme Made in Bristol programme at Bristol Old Vic. During this time we had the opportunity to work with a number of great devising practitioners as well as learn from the theatre's in house heritage team.
The company is made up of young people aged 20-27 from varied backgrounds and disciplines. Our work has focussed on local history, comedy and mythic storytelling; ‘Bristory’, our first show, was shortlisted for the AHI Lockdown Response Award.
We now operate out of an old greengrocer in Knowle, Somerset, just outside Bristol.
Owl on the Roof are a registered CIC supported by Hypha Studios.
The Green Grocers Shop
In 2021 we partnered with Hypha Studios, who finds disused spaces for artists to work out of! We were given an unused Greengrocer in Knowle, Somerset.
